A large, gaudy vault with decorative gold leaf moulding and garish tapestries depicting the coronation of the last serpent king, Olis XI. Shelves lined with ancient serpent kingdom propaganda and military memorabilia are devoid of monetary value, though their value to historians may be more. The floor is a pressure plate, and open serpent mouth sculpted nozzles dot the corners of the vault.
- Tapestries: Bulky. 3 pieces, each worth 75gp. If shown to a serpent folk worshipper, they will attack immediately to reclaim it.
- Military memorabilia: Among the pomp, a slaver’s crop with a lapis band wrapping the hand. +3 to damage as whip.
- Pressure plate and nozzles: If the trap is armed, once the pressure plate is depressed, a countdown will begin. After one minute the vault door will slam shut (DC 15 Dex for any in the doorway or 3d6 damage). After two minutes poison gas begins pouring in from the nozzles. After 5 minutes a vent shaft opens to the poison gas out; those inside the vault who breathe DC 15 Con or HP reduced to 0.
