A lift platform in the north of a long narrow hall ringed with pulsating blue light inset in the surrounding stone floor. Lurking in the shadows of the room are eight ghouls, hungry for living flesh. They are unmoved by treaties, papers, and conversation, instead focusing on getting warm blood in their mouths. An automated door in the south wall has been forced open and disabled, so it cannot be closed. The floors and walls are smeared with viscera, dried in layers. A distant scream echoes through the chamber from the south. If the ghouls are destroyed or turned, new ghouls will move into the space in three days.
