Gold-plated stairs spiral up the middle of this religiously decorated room. The scriptures of Solar Ascension are engraved in the walls and filled with gold paint, and small shrines stand between the prayer stanzas.

A golden door bars passage to the south, engraved with an image of twelve pilgrims praying at the twelve shrines. The door is impossibly heavy and cannot be opened by anyone who has not prayed to each of the twelve shrines.

• Scriptures — Thirteen prayers for each phase of the procession of the sun. Begins with the rebirth, fledgling growth, the growing of food, the harvest, and finally the giving of shade. The last prayer is a vow to honour the cycle and show gratitude for the warmth and the light.
• Shrines — Twelve shrines shaped like the zodiac creatures of the Arkean home world, a gift from the diplomacy of prefolding times.
